Insights from Over 20 Years of Brushing Curls: "I don't need to worry about hairloss anymore".

If you are with curly hair,  you might feel terrible when your hair got tangle, and if you forgot to untangle it when taking shower, you might feel like you will not brush it until next time.

I need my natural hair, but I want to make all the progress easier, so typically follow specific techniques to brush your hair without causing excessive frizz or damaging your curls.

Here are some tips for brushing curly hair:

  1. Use a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush: Choose a wide-tooth comb or a brush designed specifically for detangling curly hair. These tools help prevent breakage and minimize damage to the curls.

  2. Brush when hair is wet or damp: Curly hair is more manageable and less prone to breakage when it's wet or damp. Apply a leave-in conditioner or a detangling spray to help ease the process.

  3. Start from the ends: Begin brushing at the tips of the hair and work your way up to the roots. This approach helps remove tangles more gently and avoids putting too much stress on the hair strands.

  4. Section hair if necessary: If you have very thick or long curly hair, it might be helpful to divide your hair into sections and brush one section at a time. This can make the process easier and less overwhelming.

  5. Brush with care: Be gentle while brushing and avoid pulling or yanking on the hair. Slowly and patiently work through any tangles, so you don't cause damage.

  6. Avoid brushing dry curls: Dry brushing can lead to excessive frizz and breakage, so it's generally best to stick to brushing when your hair is wet or damp.

  7. Consider finger detangling: Instead of using a brush or comb, some people prefer to use their fingers to detangle their curly hair. This method allows for more control and can be gentler on the curls.

  8. Use the right products: Curly hair often benefits from using products specifically designed for curly hair, such as leave-in conditioners, curl creams, or gels. These products can help enhance and define your natural curls.

The scalp of people with curly hair tends to be drier. While using good hair products is important, we must not forget the importance of keeping it moisturized and nourished. What we really need is proper maintenance for our hair. That's why I want to recommend this heating cap from Ingeware, as I also have curly hair and understand the headaches that come with not taking care of it properly.
The unique feature of Ingeware's heating cap is that it allows your scalp to fully absorb the hair care products while providing gentle warmth to nourish the scalp. It helps eliminate dandruff and makes your hair smoother, reducing worries about hair loss when combing.

Reducing the frequency of brushing can also help maintain the integrity of the curls, as over-brushing can disrupt the curl pattern and lead to frizz.
